Dr. Swerdloff received his Medical Degree from the University of Health Sciences, Chicago Medical School in 1976. He completed his residency training in General Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in New York. He was board certified by The American Academy of Neurological and Orthopedic Surgeons.
After completion of his medical training, Dr. Swerdloff established his private practice in the Beverly Hills and Los angles areas. He was on staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Hospital, Midway Hospital, and Westside Medical Center. He specializes in sports injuries and spinal disorders. In addition, he has special training in the field of Scoliosis. He has served as an Agreed Medical Examiner and Independent Medical Examiner.
He currently maintains active Medical Licenses in the states of California and New York.
Dr. Swerdloff is a Commissioner on the Advisory Council of the Orange County Sherriff's in the State of California.
In 1993, Dr. Swerdloff, designed a shoe with interchangeable heels for his patients with foot disorders and later received worldwide recognition. In addition, he was able to secure a licensing agreement with a prominent international company. In 1994, he established American Shoe Works. The company specialized in women and men's comfort footwear. American Shoe Works included three key brand names: American Way, American Studio and Drago. His company and design team designed and manufactured footwear for major department stores, as well as for the movie industry.
In 1994, Dr. Swerdloff was featured in the CNN Science and Technology show for new inventions. His designs and inventions were also, featured on the major T.V. networks and their affiliates, national and some international. His footwear designs are in exhibit at the BATA Shoe Museum.
Dr. Swerdloff has multiple United States trademarks,patents, designs and inventions, and he remains dedicated to the field of Health and Sciences.
